Academic Affairs: Academic Impressions provides easy access to live and recorded virtual training, webcasts, on-demand learning, virtual conferences, and individually customized learning plans — all via single sign-on using your App State credentials. The offerings cover the full range of higher-ed topics, including academic planning, compliance, equity & inclusion, enrollment management & marketing, institutional advancement, leadership, student success, supervising employees, and Title IX.

The App State Police Department offers community education and training on a range of topics, including Active Aggressor Response Training, Rape Aggression Defense, Mental Health First Aid, and Personal Safety Seminars.
Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning for Student Success (CETLSS)
The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning for Student Success (CETLSS) office provides faculty support and professional development opportunities to the campus community. This center offers a wide variety of workshops dedicated to overall student success and academic progress.
Civic Literacy Initiative
The Civic Literacy Initiative seeks to foster a nonpartisan, civically engaged, and informed campus community. It offers information on Freedom of Speech, Voting information, Dialogue Programs, and presentations on nonpartisan voting education and voting logistics.
Counseling & Psychological Services
The Counseling & Psychological Services staff and the Mental Health Ambassadors are available to present educational and interactive programs and workshops on a variety of mental health topics. their interactive programs are designed to raise awareness in regard to mental health as well as educate audiences about coping skills and other wellness behaviors. We welcome requests to present to classes, clubs, teams, residence halls, and other student organizations.

The Department of Environmental Health, Safety, and Emergency Management (EHS&EM) offers emergency preparedness training to all University departments, colleges, units, groups, and areas. Training programs may be designed around the unique needs of the area or provide standardized material.

Offered through the Human Resources Department, Core Training for Supervisors strives to equip leaders with the tools to effectively lead their teams, increase organizational growth, and achieve strategic objectives.

Student Affairs
Offered through the Division of Student Affairs the Sustained Dialogue Series is a certification-based class that focuses on increasing an individual’s ability to communicate effectively regarding complex and difficult topics. This workshop is designed to create a more cohesive and understanding campus community.
Wellness and Prevention Services
Wellness and Prevention Services offers a holistic support system for students, staff, and faculty. The department is split between mental health resources, nutrition services, Peer Education, sexual health, and Substance Use education. Wellness and prevention offer a variety of workshops in each area.
